268 City Council Meeting Minutes - February 22, 2021 City Council Chambers, City Building, 16 West Scribner Avenue, DuBois, Pennsylvania on Monday, February 22, 2021 @7p.m.; Council convened at their regular City Council Meeting with! Mayor Walshi int the Chair. Other Council Members present were: James Aughenbaugh, Diane Bernardo, Shane Dietz (byt telephone), Shannon Gabriel; City Treasurer, Lisal LaBrasca Becker; and City Controller, David Volpe. Also present were: City Manager, John "Herm" Suplizio; City Solicitor, Toni Cherry; City Engineer/Public Works Director, Chris Nasuti; Police Chief, Blaine Clark; and City Ther meeting was calledt to order at7p p.m. and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Walsh. Approval of Registry of Invoices Public Comments: None First Reading of Council Bill No. 1946- - DROP Plan Ordinance An Ordinance oft the City of DuBois amending Chapter 48 of the Code of Ordinances establishing and maintaining: ap police pension fund to amend certain provisions oft the pension plan or program to adopt thep provisions ofac deferred retirement option plan as agreed to byt the City of DuBois and the police officers and to adopt the same ina accordance with the agreement reached. January1, 2019, retroactive to the date of said agreement and tor reinstate and re-enact ini its entirety all sections of Chapter 48 not in conflict herewith was presented fori first reading. Solicitor Cherry reminded Council that they! have already approved this ordinance in resolution form in December of 2019; but, these type of amendments require an ordinance. Motion passed 4- An Ordinance of the City of DuBois amending Chapter 149 of the Code of Ordinances establishing the requirement that! buildings within the City of DuBois be numbered and amending the requirements for suchr numbering of buildings and structures within the City of DuBois and amending the minimum and maximum penalties for violation of the provisions of Chapter 149 was City Solicitor Cherry referred to the original ordinance which was passed in 1895; she stated that much oft the existing ordinance had1 to do with setting up streets.
