CITY OF BRUNDIDGE RESOLUTION NO. 2022-09  2022 COMMUNITYDEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM To authorize the filing of an application to the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs, Community Development Block Grant Program for Small City Competitive funds; to commit a local match for the project; and to authorize the Mayor of Brundidge to sign WHEREAS, the Alabama Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program has been established to assist local governments in meeting community development and housing needs consistent with the objectives set forth in Title I of the Housing and Community Development WHEREAS, the City of Brundidge, acting by and through the City Council proposes to apply for Community Development Block Grant funds to make water improvements along Oak and WHEREAS, under terms and provisions ofTitleIofthel Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, the City of Brundidge as a recipient of these funds is required to designate and appoint a Financial Officer to perform certain duties in the administration of said  all documents related to the filing ofPY 2022 CDBG Application.  Actof1974, as amended; and  Reynolds Streets and sewer improvements along Nassau and Pine Streets; and  grant.  NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City of] Brundidge, as follows:  THAT, Isabell Boyd, Mayor, is hereby authorized to execute and submit an application with appropriate assurances to the State of Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs, requesting Program Year 2022 CDBG funds in the amount of $400,000; and THAT, the City of Brundidge hereby commits to provide cash resources to complete the project THAT, Isabell Boyd, or the current Mayor, be and is hereby designated and appointed as Financial Officer under the terms and pursuant to the provisions of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, and is directed and empowered to make necessary assurances and to perform on behalf of the City of Brundidge, those acts and assume  in the amount of $ 85.855 for the local share oft the project; and  such duties as are consistent with said position.
