Councilwoman Bernardo reminded everyone thati itis currently $25a a month (less than $1a day)a andi ify youp payf fora a year) youg get three months free. She feels parkingi is very cheapi int the City of DuBois. Int the meantime, costs for maintenance have increased: ands she'sr nott talkinga aboutj just painting the lines; its paving andj plowing, etc. Ther motion was madeb by Bernardo and: seconded! by Gabriel toi increase the monthly fee to $30 ($1a day) monthly and $270 annually whichy woulds still give them three months free. She stated inay year ofp pandemic whenr many businesses have been lost, how could they even think ofr raising thep price. She went ont to ask whyt theyl hadr not discussedi it withi the business owners first. Mayor Walsht toldh her she was out of order, but she persisted.
