176  Work Session Meeting Minutes- = August 11, 2022  City Council Chambers, City Building, 16 West Scribner Avenue, DuBois, Pennsylvania on Thursday, August 11, 2022 @ 41 p.m.; Council convened at their regular Work Session with Mayor Walsh int the Chair. Other Council Members present were: Jim Aughenbaugh, Diane Bernardo, Shane Dietz, and Shannon Gabriel (by phone). Also present were: City Manager, John' "Herm" Suplizio; City Engineer/Public Work Director, Chris Nasuti; Code Enforcement/Zoning Officer, Zac Lawhead; Public' Works Superintendent, Scott Farrell!; Police Chief, Blaine Clark; IT Director, Matt. Johnson; and Finance Officer, DeLean Shepherd.  Absent: David Volpe, City Controller Approval of Minutes Review for Monday Approval of Registry of Invoices Review for Monday  Request from DAHS Student Council to close Division Street and Beaver Drive at 5:45 p.m. for approximately 45 minutes on Friday, September 23-d for annual homecoming parade. We will try to accommodate them but the railroad willb be repairing the tracks at Route: 255 and Division Street, we don't! know the date yet. Ther motion was made by Aughenbaugh ands seconded by Dietz that Council approve ther request fromi thel DAHS Student Councilt to close Division Street and Beaver Drive with the understanding that duet tor railroad repairs they may have to come up with ana alternate route. Nasutii is going to meet with them and try to work with them, then advertise. The motion was madel by Dietz ands seconded by Aughenbaugh that Council authorize Nasutit to work with Sandy Township on Aggregates. Thisi isi informational as they have no requests for closures and they are not using City property. However,t they did provide the City witha a Certificate of Liability Insurance. Maple Avenue End of October its should be completed. They will be paving the right Dredging Sandy Lick Creek - Dredging continues andl looks good, hoping tol be done byt the end ofs summer. New Street may needt to be closed on occasion. Top of Liberty Boulevard - Phase 1is 95% complete the lights still are not done. Hopefully they. willl be next. The railing willl bei installed next week. Phase: 2-1 the Flood Control - Trimming all of the Banks - Summer helpi is doing an excellent job.  Updates:  side next week.  other side: Starts on Monday. New signi in 30 days. Challenger/Heind: Field- - Projectl has started. We did have some tree removal. Railroad Crossing:  Long Avenue - From Orange Alley to Franklin willl be closed Tues, Aug 16; DuBois Street - Will be closed near the VFW on Fuller Street onl Fri, Aug 191 for  Weds, Aug 17; and Thurs., Aug 181 for railroad repairs.  railroad repairs.
