V  Presentations: None VI Consent Agenda  A  Consider approval of the following minutes: Apr25,2023.  Motion to approve minutes by Councilman Williams; second by Councilman Hall;  Motion passed 5/0.  VII Business    A. Consider and possibly take action to approve the City of Overton to solicit bids for the Elevated Water Storage Tank Rehabilitation Project to be Motion to approve solicitation of bids by Councilman Hall; second by  funded through the American Rescue Plan Act. Councilman Williams; Motion passed 5/0.  B.  Discuss and take action on purchasing a new excavator.  Motion to approve purchase by Councilman Williams; second by  Councilman Stone; Motion passed 5/0.  C. Discuss and take action to put 1200 South Commerce Street up for bids.  Motion to seek bids by Councilman Williams; second by Councilwoman  Littlefield; Motion passed 5/0.  D. Discuss and take action on Overton Rotary Club's request to host Fall Fest. Lauren Paige Pepper was invited to the podium to speak on the subject. Motion to approve by Councilman Hall; second by Councilwoman Littlefield;  She said the plan is to have this event on October 28th.  Motion passed 5/0.  E. Add Lisa Hemus to the General Fund and Treasury Management accounts  as an authorized signer at Texas Bank and Trust.  Mayor Gilbert advised that the bank had to know specifically which accounts Motion to approve by Councilman Williams; second by Councilwoman  are authorized.  Littlefield; Motion passed 5/0.  VIII Convened To Executive Session at 7:23 pm  The Overton City Council convened in an Executive Session to discuss the following matters as authorized by $551.074 of the Texas Government Code = regarding personnel matters including the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee. Motion to extend Chief Pool's severance contract from 6 months to 2. years by Councilman Hall; second by Councilman Williams; Motion passed 5/0.
