City of Oak Ridge Kaufman County, Texas City Council Meeting Minutes May 27, 2024 at 7:00 PM  Item 1  Call to Order  Meeting was called to order by Mayor Al Rudin at 7:00 PM. Present were Council Members, Rolando Guzman, Janelle Davis, Nena Langford and Scherri Holmes. Mayor Pro Tem Jimmy Quick and Chief Bill Weatherly were unable to attend. City Secretary Karen Stacey was in attendance also.  Item 2 Item 3  Pledge Citizen Input  All present stood and recited the pledge allegiance.  Citizen Jeff Barnes was in attendance. Citizen Barnes was requesting a 35mph sign on CR 140, to many vehicles speeding. Also requested a "No Thru Trucks" in same area. Mayor Al Rudin stated  that sign was already on order.  Item 4  Approve Council Minutes of May 13, 2024  Motion was made by Scherri Holmes and seconded by Rolonda Guzman to approve Workshop Council  Minutes of April 13, 2024. All being in favor, motion carried.  Item 5  Approve Payment of May 27, 2024 Bills  Motion was made by Janelle Davis and seconded by Nena Langford to approve Bills of May 27, 2024. Item 6 Item 7 Item 8  Discuss on Police Department  Discussion on Court Reporting Software and Brazos Ticket Writers  Discussion on Roads  Mayor Rudin spoke and indicated Oak Lane repair was completed. However, fix needs to be done to  blend approach/turn. 140 is done. Clean-up will commence once rain subsides.  Item 9 Item 10  Code Enforcement Update  Tabled, David Lacy was absent.  Discussion, Consider, Action Ordinance #74-24 (Fee Schedule)  Motion was made by Scherri Holmes and seconded by Janelle Davis to approve Ordinance #74-24  (Fee Schedule). All being in favor, motion carried.  Item 11  Motion to Adjourn Regular Meeting and go into Executive Session  Motion was made by Nena Langford and seconded by Rolondo Guzman to go into Executive Session  at 7:16 PM. All being in favor, motion carried.  Item 12  Motion to Return Regular City Council Meeting  Motion was made by Scherri Holmes and seconded by Janelle Davis to return to regular City Council  Meeting at 7:31 PM. All being in favor, motion carried.    Item 13  Discuss, Consider, Action on Items Discussed in Executive Session  Motion was made by Scherri Holmes and seconded by Nena Langford to accept all issues discussed  in Executive Session. All being favor, motion carried.  Item 14 Item 15 Item 16  Set date for June 2024 Workshop/Council Meeting (June 10, 2024 at 6PM) Set Date for June 2024 City Council Meeting (June 24, 2024 at 7:00 PM) Mayor/Council Items of Community Interest and/or Items for future Council  Above date and time accepted for the City of Oak Ridge for Workshop/Council Meeting.  Above date and time accepted for the City of Oak Ridge Council Meeting.  Considerations (No Action Taken) signature cards for the bank.  Mayor would like to borrow Skidster and will purchase a ball lock.
