PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD  MEETING MINUTES MARCH 27, 2024  The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board of the Town of Fairview met Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at 372 Town Place, Fairview, Texas. Those present was Board Chair Renee Powell as well as Committee members Katherine Ponder, Gary Wittsche, Steven Rhoads, Kailey Saver, and Bruce Bickhaus. Staff present included Planning Manager, Israel Roberts. Call to Order: Board Chair Powell called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and declared a  quorum was present.  Citizen Comments: There were no public comments.  A motion was made by Gary Wittsche and seconded by Kailey Saver to approve the. January 24, 2024 Park and Recreation Advisory Board minutes. Motion was approved 6-0. Board Chair Powell stated that the two trails that received Collin County grants have been completed. She showed the board pictures of the newly installed park benches and signage at Katherine Ponder discussed the condition ofCreekside Park, citing old playground equipment,  Coyote Meadow.  and that it may be time for a complete refresh of that park.  Gary Wittsche, proposed aj possible Earth Day event for future consideration.  Reminder that the Community Clean-Up Event is scheduled for April 13 from 10-noon. Meet tat The next meeting will be May 22, 2024 (meeting subsequently rescheduled to. June 26).  the east entrance ofTown Hall at 9:00am for set-up.
