Amy Moore, Town Manager/Clerk. REGULAR MEETING CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:00 P.M. GUESTS: None scheduled PUBLIC WORKS - Amy Moore All Miller, Tidewater, advised that he will rotate operators every 41 months instead ofevery 3. VFD is on order and will install when it comes in. Drum screen has been repaired Chris Ritch has been cleaning out ditches toi increase water flow Lane Cole will help identify areas needing work (streets, ditches, etc.) and obtain prices for Meeting scheduled for April 3rd, with DNR regarding dredging oft boat slips and adjacent areas. Mosquito control - need to apply by April 30th. Same price as prior year $2,325 budget purposes. Town was approved for a $50,000 grant for the work. PLANNING- = Philip Snyder Thought the Town community: meeting was a great success. PCi is working on the county trail system to incorporate up to Queenstown. Would like to ask the Commissioners for support for master trails for town. They would solicit public participation and it would take about a year to develop. They would then ask the town to adopt the plan to use when negotiating with developers and possibly assist with funding of certain projects. FINANCE COMMITTEE - Pat Bowell Reported on the Tax Set Off - attended three meetings with Town Clerk (COG, individual meeting with County Finance Director Jon Seeman, and then the County Tax Set Offhearing). Asked the County to also fund our fireworks. We were asked to submit our request in writing, which Clerk did. After some discussion, Commissioner Schuster motioned to lift all parking restrictions on Maryland Ave. from Steamboat Ave. to Old Wharf Lane at this time. Motion seconded by Commissioner Hardee. Commissioner Hardee will review and report back at later date. OLD BUSINESS - NEW BUSINESS- No oldi business was discussed Commissioner Hardee advised he used the town dump truck and noticed the body appeared to bei in poor condition. Lane Cole advised that John English quoted approximately $8,500: for new dump body. The: motor and transmission are in good condition with low miles. Commissioner Hardee stated there was some interest in a summer concert series, and if we are toj proceed, we: need electricity at the park. Need to get aj price from R &I D Electric. ATTORNEY UPDATES - Brynja Booth Went to court for property maintenance violations. Property owner was fined $410 and was given until 4/8/19 to abate the violations. Ifitisn't done by then, the Town can file to have an Today is her last meeting. She has been our attorney for 9 years, and is going to miss us. The Commissioners thanked her for her services and wished her all the best. President Willis motioned to appoint Lyndsey Ryan, attorney, and the firm Booth, Cropper and Marriner as the order allowing the town to abate. Town Attorney. PUBLIC COMMENT- Paul Cain - Steamboat Ave- paid to the Town. o Asked how the property maintenance violation fine gets paid. He was informed it gets 3 Suggests putting in the Town newsletter about taking properties to court that don't Thinks it a great idea for electric at the park, but should plan for future needs of thej park before installing it. Ms. Booth advised that Trappe received a grant for gazebo, fountain, and landscaping. Something the Town may want to consider. comply with ordinances. It would show that we are serious.
