CALLTOORDER, PLEDGE, AND INVOCATION Mayor Jennifer McCoy called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present: Mayor. Jennifer McCoy, Councilmembers Lucia Butler, Randy McCoy, Mayor Pro Tem James' Warren, Councilmember Tammy Baughman, Sunshine Alcorta and Code Enforcement Tambara Farrell, Public Works Director Eric Clark and citizen Meme Thomas and Tanya Conner. Absent: Councilmember Chuck Conner. The Pledge of Allegiance was followed by the invocation given by Mayor Pro Tem James Warren. B. PUBLIC COMMENTS No Public comments. REGULAR AGENDA Discuss, Consider, and Possibly Take Action Regarding: 1. Utilizing Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins and Mott LLP as the city's collection agency. All aspects of Public Works including but not limited to modification of the budget, on call policy, fuel policy, Councilmember Randy McCoy made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Tammy Baughman, to table until personnel, purchasing. June 3, 2024. Vote: 4-0. D. PUBLIC WORKS REPORT. Public Works Director Eric Clark reported on the following: Walk through with KSA regarding Brookshire. Been a lot of rain, checking on lift stations for repairs. Formal log for trucks Beginning road repairs E. MUNCIPAL COURT Code Enforcement Tambara Farrell reported on the following: 10 closed cases and 13 open cases. Mayor McCoy reported on the following: Mulch was delivered to the City Park. G. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTS F. MAYOR REPORT Emergency management Randy McCoy reported on the following: Iwould like the City to apply for a grant for barricades that Center Point Energy offers. James Warren made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Tammy Baughman, to terminate Antonio Chimney for breaking company policy. Vote 4-0 unanimously. Councilmember Lucia Butler made a motion, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem. James to designate Sunshine Alcorta as Interim City Secretary effective immediately. Vote 4-0 unanimously. J. COUNCIL COMMENTS None K. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Mayor Pro Tem James Warren made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Tammy Baughman to approve minutes from April 1, 2024, and April 8, 2024.
