QUEENSTOWN COMMISSIONERS SPECIAL MEETNG August 29, 2016 On August 29, 2016, the Commissioners of Queenstown convened a special meeting. President Willis called the meeting to order at 3:02 p.m. at the Town Office. Persons present President Thomas B. Willis, Jr., Commissioner, John M. Bowell, Commissioner, Jason Lytle were (GMB), Town Engineer, Robert D. Rauch and Brynja Booth, Town Attorney. After calling the meeting to order, President Willis made a motion to convene a closed session to obtain legal advice concerning a contract, which was seconded by Commissioner Bowell. The Commissioners adjourned into closed session at 3:02 p.m. The Commissioners reconvened in open session at 3:37 p.m. Robert Rauch noted that the wastewater treatment plant has been formally accepted by the Town. The Town is still holding a retainage due and owing Wickersham in the approximate amount of $400,000. He recommended that the Town reduce the retainage to $200,000 at this time. Commissioner Bowell made a motion to reduce the retainage under the Wickersham contract to $200,000, which was seconded by President Willis. The motion unanimously passed. Mr. Rauch advised that he would provide President Willis with the requisition form to effectuate the reduction in retainage. There being no further matters to consider, Commissioner Bowell made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 3:39 pm, which was seconded by President Willis, which was unanimously carried.
