Call to Order Mayor Boudreaux called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m. A quorum was present with the following City Councilmembers in attendance: Laurie Boudreaux, Courtney Cox, Burns Turner, Faith Haley, Justin Boudreau, and Kelli Matula City Staff present: Interim City Secretary Janie Willman Olson and Olson Attorney Philip Boedeker Public Present: Bill Blitch Dan McJunkin Nanci Mohr Amanda Borsman Abbie Ferguson 2. Public Comments Ind accordance with Texas Open Meetings Act and Texas Government Code 551.007, City Council may not discuss or take action on any item NOT listed on the Agenda. Each member of the public Bill Blitch addressed the City Council during Agenda Items 4.b. and 4.c. regarding Bond Conduit Sales for the Jewish Family Service of Dallas, Incorporated Tax-Exempt and Taxable Loan from Susser Bank facilitated by the City of Simonton Cultural Education Facilities Finance Corporation. 4.a. Consider and take action approving Draft City Council Meeting Minutes ofthe Regular Motion by Council Member Matula to approve the meeting minutes with correction adding the results oft the City Council vote to Item 5.J. Second by Council Member Boudreau. wishing to speak must sign-up prior to the meeting and is limited to 3 minutes. 4. New Business Meeting of May 21, 2024. Ayes: Five Noes: None Motion Passed. Consider and take action on a Resolution (Resolution No. 2024-11) oft the City Council of the City of Simonton, Texas to be executed by the Mayor and City Secretary required to authorize Bond Conduit Sales for the Jewish Family Service of Dallas, Incorporated Tax- Exempt and Taxable Loan from Susser Bank facilitated by the City of Simonton Cultural Mr. Bill Blitch addressed the City Council briefly explaining the purpose andj process ofBond Conduit Sales. He noted the City of Simonton's history of having engaged in this type of business facilitated by the City of Simonton Cultural Education Facilities Finance The City Council discussion included questions about the 501 C status and if the medically associated options can be exercised. There were other questions related tot thej publicl hearings postings and the amount oft the bonds being issued. The City Council adjourned into Executive Session at 6:52 p.m. to consider the following: Section 551.074 - Personnel, regarding the appointment, employment and duties oft the City 6.
