MADISON COUNTY BOARD OF ELECTIONS Board of Elections Conference Room  ABSENTEE SESSION May 14, 2024 3:00 P.M.  MINUTES CALLTOORDER  Chair Wallin called the meeting of the Madison County Board of Elections to order on May 14, 2024, at Suite E, Room 16, 5707 US 25-70 Hwy, Marshall, 28753. In attendance: Jerry Wallin, Chair; Dyatt Smathers, Secretary; Brian Ball, Member, Member; Debbie Ponder, Member; Jacob Ray, Director; The Chair announced that the purpose of this meeting would be to verify the chain of custody of mailed absentee ballots and to tabulate the ballots received, approved, and tabulated as of this date. The Chair recessed the meeting at 3:45 p.m. and announced the meeting would resume at 7 p.m. The Board proceeded to assist with the tabulation of early voting machines at 7:30 p.m. until the conclusion of the printing oft the block style results from today's Second Primary election.  and one member of the public.  Member Lewis did not re-join the meeting at 7:00 p.m.  MOTION: (DS, BB) to adjourn at 10:30 p.m. The motion passed 4-0.  Chair Secretary  Page 10 of1
