A duplicating machine which the town council is con- sidering for purchase was demonstrated by Bob Caldwell The motion to by the machine was made by F.L. Vanover and seconded by Elen Vanover. The motion carried to pur- A discussion was held on increasing the term of office for town councilmen and Mayor to two years. The general feeling was that the terms showèd be extended and voted on by the general public. Glen Vanover made the motion to out this charter amendment of articlè 4 on the ballott in the upcoming election. The motion was seconded by F.L. Vanover It was dedcided that absentee voting be set to begin March 27th and run through April 3rd 1965. It was decided that we ask Mr N.H. Jetton to be election judge for this election. The couricil set the election place to be Mr. Halls Feed A discussion was held on leasing the Boy Scout hut for a meeting placefor one years time from the date of completion for the fee of 150.00. This motion was made by Bob Caldwell and seconded by F.L.Vanover, and voted yes by the Council. A discussion was held on how to place names on the ballott. Ar motion was made by Glen Vanover that the first man to sign up for a position be placed first on the ballott, the motion was seconded by Bob Caldwell and passed by the Council. It was brought to the attention of the council that E.GAry Cowart wanted to enlarge his stable and name it Bevil Oaks Stables. Tt was decided by the council thet there were no objections as long as his neighbors hadn't objected.
