Authority Director/Assistant Public Works Superintendent, Joe Mitchell; Code Enforcement/Zoning: Officer, Zacl Lawhead; Police Chief, Blaine Clark; and City Secretary, Bobbie Shaffer. Mayor Walshr read downt through thei items whilel Interim Manager Nasutig gaveab brief description oft the Nasutis statedt that Mike Borrellil has retired, and wer need tof fillt that position. We were waiting until the budget wasi inp place tos see what wel hadt tov work with. We are now ready tot fillt thep position. Mayor Walsha askedv what we would be receiving; Mitchell stated! he Nasutis stated that this is our normal fallj paving work that we doi inc conjunction with PennDOT. (East DuBois Avenue, Hillcrest Drive, Bush Court, Rainbow Drive, Green Ridge Drive and Sylvan Drive) He believes wes should bea ablet tog geta a good price. Chief Clarks statedt that their X2 Taser system has come tot the end ofi its usefull life; they would liket to replacei it with Taser 10. He and Corporal Robertson: arel looking atas 5-year program whichy willr not affect the: 2023 budget;i it would cost $39,974.09 andb be budgetedi intot thez 2024 budget and $28,224.091 from 2025- 2028. Currently, they are taking turns usingt thet tasers they do have available; when a shift goes off,t they givet their taserst tot thes shift coming on. Thej program woulda allowt them tos get top oft thel line, state oft the art tasers, replacingt their current inventory.
