Box 345 Clay, A135048-0345 PRE-COUNCIL MINUTES April 11, 2017 The City Council of the City of Clay, Alabama held al Pre-Council meeting on Tuesday, April 11,2017, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall with Mayor Webster presiding and City Manager Ronnie Dixon serving as recorder. Clay was denied but Mr. Dixon notified the council that the City of Clay has been given a Gold award from AMIC due to our Mr. Dixon stated that all City offices willl be closed on Friday April 14, 2017 in honor of Good Friday Holiday. Dr. Gallant introduced Cooper Chun who teaches the gifted class at Clayl Elementary. She explained the class has wona a competition for Future Problem Solvers Team. Ms. Chun explained what thet team does in competition and that theyl have been invited to compete on: a national level. Ms. Chuni is asking for financial help from the cityt to get her students to and from the competition. She is going tog get CouncilorLocke thanked Ms. Chun and hert team for doing such a wonderful jobi in representing Clay, AL. He announced the school grant winners for Februaryas: CES Casey Basher; CCMS-Mike. Radeke information together and present to the Mayor. and OCHS Drew Gilmer. March grants will be determined at the next committee meeting.
