City Solicitor Cherry explained the difference between a General Obligation Bond and a Guaranteed Revenue Bond. Basically, they wantt to ensure they will get their money. These arei the parking spaces ini front of Charlie'sandi the Nelson House. Councilman Dietz has suggested they make itr motorcycle parking instead oft totally getting rid of parking. Councilwoman Bernard liked Councilman Dietz's suggesting. She hates tos see all the parking taken away when parking is ats sucha a premium here in the City. Motorcycles can park ini the fronta and cars int thes side lot. She asked the City Manager how much space would have to be reserved. Suplizio said nonei it wouldj just say Motorcycle Parking Only. He also asked the Chief ifhev would talkt tot the owners prior tot the sign being put up. Clark confirmed he would. Items for the City Solicitor PLCB - Noise Ordinance Suplizio askedi if we can you! believe two years have already passed; Cherry corrected him ands stated threey years. Cherry stated she will request toi file a petition to have a Lawsuit- - Liberty Boulevard - A lady triedt to cross all five lanes of traffic with as stroller and was hit. She didr not use any oft the crosswalks but feels the Cityi is responsible because a cross walk should have beeni installed between the car wash and the VFW Has to do with PennVEST andt the Debt Ordinance; Nasuti feels all is on track. Draft Ordinance vacating grass alleyway between 6& 10 Tenth ST Nasutis stated thisi isa a never opened, dead end alley which only goes as far as the property line oft these two pieces of property; it's his recommendation that the alley be vacated. City Solicitor Cherry statedt that she cannot vacate an alley because itis requested bya a resident; however, she cani if Council has reviewed ther matter andi feels thisi isi int the besti interest oft the City and will put more land on thet tax rolls. Mayor Walsh! had a question, he asked how many! bids we receivedi in total. Engineer Nasuti stated that we had 6t to 8b bids and Roman was thel low bidder. Sandy Townshipi itselfi is very! large and sending one engine just won't cut it. Suplizio went on to sayt that currently wel have 300 - 400 firefighters, we don't want to lose any oft them.
