Other Council Members present were: Diane Bernardo, James Aughenbaugh, Shane Dietz, and Shannon Gabriel. Phase 2 will consist mostly oft the sidewalks, parking lot, and trees. Mayor Walsh isr requesting Cherry trees. Young. Flushing- Finishing tonight ort tomorrow. Gate House Moving Forward- - completing two to three valves. New Ball Field -Requesting authorization tol bid out the Softball Field. City Manager Suplizio stated that we had received a grant previously for the park. He doesn't feelt this project willt take place untill later int they year. Small College World Series - May 15-19 PSUAC Tournament -T Takes place with weekend. Weekend. Police Chief -Blaine Clark Thanked Council for their support oft the Drug Task Force. Hel believes it will make al huge impact to the Community. He thanked they young people for coming to the meeting. Councilwoman Gabriel asked about drug dog Ace. Clark stated that he is 90% better, just waiting fort the stitches tol be removed. Councilwoman Diane Bernardo She wonders howt the City of DuBois, being a small community, can afford to implement a Drug Task Force and Sandy cannot even add an officer toi the force. She went ont to say that the City of DuBois sits and discusses these things, Sandy officials wouldn'teven engage in the conversation. Mayor Edward Walsh Councilwoman Diane Bernardo Agreed wholeheartedly with Councilwoman Bernardo. Stated alli isi in shock att the passing of Marcie; everyone has nothing but praise for the life she led. She accomplished morei in 38 years than someone twicel her age. We were all lucky to Stated that Marcie was a very persuasive person; she could get money from any organization.
