147 Work Session Meeting Minutes- May 12, 2022 City Council Chambers, City Building, 16 West Scribner Avenue, DuBois, Pennsylvania on Thursday, May 12, 2022 @ 4p.m.; Council convened at their regular Work Session with Mayor Walshi in the Chair. Other Council Members present were: Jim Aughenbaugh, Diane Bernardo, Shane Dietz (Phone), and Shannon Gabriel. Also present were: City Manager, John' "Herm" Suplizio; IT Director, Matt. Johnson; and City Secretary, Bobbie Shaffer. Absent: David Volpe, City Controller Approval of Minutes Review for Monday Approval of Registry ofl Invoices Review for Monday Grant Letter City Manager Suplizio stated that it was a goodr meeting with Rick Vilello from DCED. They discussed grants and the consolidation. Township Manager Arbaugh and City Manager Suplizio have written al letter to DCED requesting three grants; there is no guarantee but can'thurt to ask. The grants cover threel building projects: Municipal Building renovations; Construction of new Fire Station on Maple Avenue; and Construction of new Fire Station on Route 255. Ther motion was madel by Gabriel ands seconded by Aughenbaugh that Council accept the recommendation: of Engineer Nasuti and reject bids one through five and award number six to the low bidder after theJ July 20, 2022 PennVEST meeting. City Manager Suplizio stated that the City has talked to the state several times, there is nothing tol be done. He suggests Gabriel have Shei is working with K-9 Officer Rhed concerning the certificate presentation for Metzer's. Metzer'si is unablet to come on al Monday due toi their works schedules but those individuals call thes statet themselves. they believe a Thursday' Work Session may work.
