10 City Council Meeting Minutes May 10, 2021 City Council Chambers, City Building, 16 West Scribner Avenue, DuBois, Pennsylvania on Monday, May 10, 2021 @7p.m.; Council convened at their regular City Council Meeting with Mayor Walshi int the Chair. Other Council Members present were: Diane Bernardo, James Aughenbaugh, Shanel Dietz, and Shannon Gabriel. Also present were: City Manager, John "Herm" Suplizio; City Solicitor, Toni Cherry; City Engineer/Public Works Director, Chris Nasuti; Redevelopment Authority Director/Assistant Public Works Superintendent,Joe Mitchell; and City Secretary, Bobbie Shaffer. Absent: Walsh. Councilman Dietz hada a question ont the motion; he askedi if the project hadb been re-scoped andi iti ifit hadH how. City Engineer Nasuti confirmed the project hadb beenr re-scoped; we willl be stopping at 7th street witht the sidewalks instead of 10th street but we will still have the same paving, grading and curbs. City Manager Suplizio stated that Sandy Township would like al letter of support for their Multi Modal Grant for their sidewalk project. He stated that they willl begin where the City leaves off ont thes sidewalk project and takei itt toi the walkway. Thei motion was madel by Aughenbaugh ands seconded by Gabriel that Council approve sending a letter of support for Sandy Township's Multi-Modal Grant. City Manager Suplizio stated that when Dave Roman closes down ther road to put laterals in, the house will be removed then. Probably within the month. Authority Director Mitchell stated that we dor not Stated! he's had: a lot of complaints about Maple Avenue; especially on Mother's Day. City Engineer Nasutis statedt that pavement, was put ont today so there would be no more washouts. City Manager Suplizio said thati itisg going to be badi for ther next six months or Asked about plans fort the top of the boulevard. Engineer Nasuti said that wel have engaged ac consultant andt they are working onit. Bernardo asked whot the consultant is. Nasuti statedt thati iti is HRG out of Cranberry; they helped with. Juniata Lake. Bernardo wanted to makes suret thatt they are aware that the stairs were: al WPA project ands should remain.
