Other Council Members present were: Diane Bernardo; Shane Dietz, and Shannon Gabriel. Also present were: City Manager,John "Herm" Suplizio; City Engineer/Public' Work Director, Chris Nasuti; Redevelopment Authority Director/Assistant Public' Works Superintendent, Joel Mitchell; Code Enforcement/Zonings Officer, Zac Lawhead; Public Works Superintendent, Scott Farrell; Police Chief, Blaine Clark; and Finance Officer, DeLean Shepherd. Wellness Festival - "Sticki it to Stigma" Ther motion was made by Dietz ands seconded by Gabriel that Council authorize advertising forb bids for pavingi int the Spring. The motion was madel by Gabriel and seconded by Dietz that Council approve the request from Mr. Beatty for use of the Park on. June 24, 2023 for the Men's & Youth Wellness Festival. Mr. Beatty statedt thatt there willl be a press conference with Priority Communications (Sunny 106)a and the Courier Express concerning the event. He went ont to sayt that all of Councilis invited tot this historical event. Councilwoman Bernardo askedi if any girls would be boxing. Mr. Beatty said the 11,1 13&2 20 yr. old girls are competing. Ireland's best! boxers are going to compete. Mayor Walshi read the proclamation ini its entirety. Unfortunately, Councilman Aughenbaugh was noti in attendance to sign, we will try to get his signature prior to the Mayor Walsh wanted this added tot today'sa agenda. Spraying for Gypsy Moths/Timber Cut (PA Game Commission Program $19-50 per acre/4,271 Acres = $83,284-50) Ken Kane stated that the Game Commission is spraying and we: are goingt to piggyback on their contract. The spraying willl be paid for bya a Timber Cut. He went tos sayt that ar new type of moth may arrive in. July and August..Spotted Lantern Fly. This mothi is very! hardt to control.
