The permanent elimination oft the Deputy Police Chiefjob classification is part of the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Budget adopted on June 25, 2024, and Police Department On June 25, 2024, the Corcoran City Council adopted the Fiscal Year 2024-25 Budget, and the Salary and Benefits Resolution No. 4038 that addressed an unanticipated revenue shortfall from FY2023-24, as well as projected revenue declinet through FY2024-251 that further delays the City's economic recovery. This adopted budget implements a Police Department reorganization that reduces the workforce of upper management positions within the department and discontinues the use ofthe two Deputy Police Chiefpositions, and directs limited resources to address critical public safety needs fund additional police officer positions.
