Nixon,  ESt. 1906  Nixon City Council Minutes for 4.8.2024 Special Meeting  The Nixon City Council met in Regular Session on the 8th day of April 2024 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Members present were Mayor Dorothy Riojas, Justin La Fleur, Maggie Gaytan, Ellie Dominguez, Patsy Scherrer, Tanya Torres, Jeremy Bustos, Darryl Becker, Chief Miguel Cantu, Eddie Escobar, Briana Dominguez, Melissa Pompa, Mark Mendez, Angel De La Cruz, Don WattJ Jr., Sheryl Watt, Adolph Trigo, Rene Amaya, Nona Bruce, Dorothy Alexander, Patricia Dingler, Gladyne Finch, Nina Hernandez, and Donald A quorum was declared present, and Madame Mayor Dorothy Riojas called the meeting to order at 5:30  Chambers at City Hall 302 E. Central Ave Nixon, TX 78140.  Hoffman. p.m.  Roll call was conducted. All council members were present.  Mayor Dorothy Riojas said a prayer. And the Pledge of Allegiance toi the United States of America and the Nona Bruce spoke under Citizen's to be Heard. She asked the council if a Kentucky Fried Chicken Adolph Trigo also spoke under Citizens to be Heard regarding agenda item #2(Discuss, Consider, Possible Action on reviewing and appointing applicants for the vacant seat on the Nixon City Council. Amotion was made by Ellie Dominguez and seconded by Maggie Gaytan to goi into executive session under the Texas Government Code 1.072/Consutation with Attorney regarding contemplated or pending litigation, a settlement officer, or administrative hearing.), at 5:43 pm. Motion carried 4-0.  State of Texas was recited. franchise was coming toi the city.  The council convened back into regular session at 6:25 pm.  Ar motion was made by Ellie Dominguez and seconded by Patsy Scherrer to appoint Patricia Dingler to the Ar motion was made by Ellie Dominguez and seconded by Maggie Gaytan to adjourn the meeting. Motion  vacant Nixon City Council seat.
