CITY OF GRAND SALINE RESOLUTION No. 2024-04  A RESOLUTION REQUESTING STREET CLOSURE FOR THE GRAND SALINE ANNUAL SALT FESTIVAL, HOSTED BY THE SALT FESTIVAL HERITAGE ASSOCIATION, GRAND SALINE, TEXAS.  WHEREAS, the City of Grand Saline, Texas, will host the Annual Salt Festival on Thursday, WHEREAS, the Salt Festival Heritage Association desires to have certain streets ini the WHEREAS, the Grand Saline City Council, with the support of the Police Department, the Public Works Department, the Volunteer Fire Department, and the City Administrator, does hereby support these activities and determines the closure to be necessary for the safety of our  September 26th through Sunday, September 29th. City of Grand Saline Closed during the event; and  citizens and visitors. SALINE, TEXAS THAT:  NOW, THEREFORE, BEI ITI RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND  Section 1  The following streets are approved for closure during the Grand Saline Annual Salt Festival:  East Frank Street from Main Street to Green Street Thursday, September 26th 6:00 pm -1 12:00 am  Friday, September 27th 5:00 pm - Saturday, September 28th 1:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28th 6:00 am - Sunday, September 29th 12:00 pm Saturday, September 28th 6:00 am - Sunday, September 29th12:00 am East Frank Street from Green Street to Post Office Drive Thru Thursday, September 26th 6:00 pm -Sunday, September 29th 2:00 am West Frank Street from Main Street to Spring Street Saturday, September 28th 6:00 am - 6:00 pm.  Main Street from Highway 80 to Pacific Street  Green Street from Pacific Street to Frank Street (Northside of Intersection) Saturday, September 28th 6:00 am - Sunday, September 29: 2:00 a.m. Pacific Street from Main Street to Saline Street Saturday, September 28th 6:00 am - 3:00 pm for Car Show        Section 2  Barricade shall be set up at all closed intersections in order to control traffic and for the welfare  and safety of vendors and attendees.
