Belton City Council Meeting May 28, 2024-5 5:30 P.M.  The Belton City Council met in regular session in the Wright Room of the Harris Community Center. Members present included Mayor David K. Leigh, Mayor Pro Tem John R. Holmes, Sr., Councilmembers Wayne Carpenter, Craig Pearson, Daniel Bucher, Stephanie O'Banion and Dave Covington. Staff present included Sam Listi, Matt Bates, John Messer, Amy Casey (via Zoom), Mike Rodgers, Chris Brown, Larry Berg, Jon Fontenot, Bob van Til, Paul Romer, Tina Moore, Kim Kroll, Jo-EIl Guzman, Scott Hodde, Daniel Aguirre, Megan Odiorne, Amanda Cox and Judy Garrett. The Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag was led by Mayor David K. Leigh. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Texas Flag was led by Assistant City Manager Matt Bates. The 1. Call to order. Mayor David K. Leigh called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m.  Invocation was given by Councimember Dave Covington.  2. Public Comments. Paul Daugereau of Waste Management presented the scholarship money to this year's recipients, Kyler Emmons, Jez Vazquez-Miranda,  Emergency in the City of Belton, Texas.
