Grand Saline City Council Regular Meeting 201 N. El Pacific Street May 21, 20246:00F P.M.  A regular meeting of the Grand Saline City Council was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Pro-tem Leah Erwin. The Mayor Pro-Tem announced a quorum present with the following: Councilmember Brandi Morris, Councilmember Scott Gorby, Councilmember Tara McBeath, and Councilmember Scott Snodgrass present. Invocation given by Caden Moser followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the American and Texas flag. City staff present: Blake Armstrong, Beverley Pearson, Mary Corrales, Brandi Collard, Teri Everitt, Destry Others Present: Tammy Chitty, Logan Craft, Tony Miller, Randal Miller, Kim Neal, Kyle Thompson, Kathy Approved minutes of April 16, 2024 regular meeting and May 14, 2024 Special Called meeting: Councilmember Brandi Morris made a motion to approve the April 16, 2024 regular meeting and May 14, 2024 Special Called meeting minutes. Councilmember Leah Erwin seconded the motion. Motion carried pproved Financials for March 2024: Councilmember Brandi Morris made a motion to approve the inancials for April 2024. Councilmember Scott Gorby seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. City Secretary Report: Beverley Pearson advised Council that bids for the wastewater plant grant will be opened on June 13, 2024. The pool is up and running. Budget is in process. Engineer inspected High Street on May 15, 2024. The  Mayor Ridge Tardy was absent.  Sills, Joel McCraw and Jeremy Barker. Public Participation: None  Oath of Office for new Councilmembers Tara McBeath, Scott Snodgrass and Scott Gorby: City Municipal Elect Mayor Pro-Tem: Councilmember Brandi Morris made a motion to elect Leah Erwin as Mayor Pro-Tem. EDC - Kyle Thompson and Micah Lowe to discuss awning on the back of the EDC building: No action  Court Judge Beverley Pearson administer oaths.  Councilmember Scott Gorby seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.  taken  Hear from Mr. Tony Miller pertaining to Mr. Randal Miller's water bill: No action taken  Discuss High Street between Saline Street and Fielder Street: Council advised Public Works Director, Joel Remove Dana Clair from all City Bank accounts and credit cards: Councilmember Brandi Morris madea a motion to remove Dana Clair from the bank and credit card accounts. Councilmember Scott Gorby seconded  McCraw to put this out for bids.  the motion. Motion carried unanimously.        Add Severiana Lopez to all City Bank accounts: Councilmember Brandi Morris made a motion to add Severiana Lopez to all City Bank accounts. Councilmember Scott Gorby seconded the motion. Motion carried Discuss Public Works Director's take home vehicle: Councilmember Brandi Morris made a motion to change foreman to Public Works Director can take home a City vehicle. Councilmember Leah Erwin seconded motion. Ordinance 2024-108: Amend Pool Ordinance 2024-107 Hours of operation: Councilmember Brandi Morris made ai motion to approve Ordinance 2024-108. Councilmember Leah Erwin seconded the motion. Motion Ordinance 2024-109 Permit for Food Trucks setting up in town: Councilmember Brandi Morris made a motion to set the price ofa a permit in the amount of $250.00 with hours of operation to 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Ordinance 2024-110- Appointment of Municipal CourtJudge: Councilmember Brandi Morris made a motion to appoint Beverley Pearson as the City of Grand Saline Municipal Court. Judge for a term of May 1, 2024 through May 1,2026. Councilmember Scott Gorby seconded the motion. Motion carried with Scott Ordinance 2024-111 - Appointment of Associate Municipal Court Judge's: Councilmember Brandi Morris made a motion to appoint Wade McMillian, Lilial Durham and Scott Shinn as the City of Grand Saline Municipal Court Associate Judge's for a term of May 1,2 2024 through May 1,2026. Councilmember Scott Resolution 2024-03 Amending Authorized Representatives for Texpool Accounts: Councilmember Scott Gorby made a motion to approve Resolution 2024-03 amending authorization representatives. for Texpool accounts.
