Members present were Mayor Keith Yarbrough, Arnie Kelley, Darrell Lunsford, Travis Simon, Tim Wright, and Hope Hallmark. Others present were. Jack Brown, Myke Chandler, Tim Barton, Mrs. Van Dyke, Abby and Chase Taylr, and. Jenny Frederick. Jack Brown led in prayer. Mayor Yarbrough called the meeting to order at 5:02 P.M. Abby Taylor. discussed the park inp public comments. Walking track bids were for $15,000, $15,500, and $14,8001 for concrete. Phase 1 willl be complete after the concrete and fence are installed. The council advised the Park Group to go ahead with the concrete for the walkway ifthey have the funds available. Jenny Frederick canvassed the election results from May 4, 2024. Booster Station #1 had a power surge that damaged the SCADA panel. The antenna and PLC were replaced. The collapsed sewer main on West Magnolia was repaired after being camera' d. The camera also revealed there are several sections at the post office that are disjointed. Agas leak at the Housing Authority has been repaired. Gulf South is going up in prices. Crushed concrete has been ordered and placed on Garrett Loop, the ditch lines on Greenwood Street have been repairéd along with Francis Street and at the East Texas Apartments, and the climbs in the ditches on Henning Road have been removed. Millings are needed to fill holes at the Post Office. Contact Martin Stanaland to get prices on Oil Sand and get a quote for crushed concrete to put under equipment shed. Travis Simon reminded Jack to keep the Sewer Plant gate locked. Jenny Frederick presented the Secretary's report. The city'st total account balances were $905,313.88. The balance sheets, profit and loss statements, adjustments for the month, bank statements and reconciliations for all accounts, and check details were provided.
