Presentation and discussion: Preliminary outlook for the City's budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, Finance Director Rudy Zepeda gave al brief presentation explaining the budget, revenue, expenses, projections for Fiscal Year 2025, taxi rates, Capital Expenses, and annual priorities. Following the presentation, Mr. Zepeda showed Council the Capital Projections for the years 2025 through 2029. Council assessed the items for Fiscal Year 2025 and discussed which items are a priority and which items could be purchased in the following year or years. Mr. Zepeda presented different tax rates to the Council and showed the effects that each of the rates would have on Councilmember Noto asked what the increased percentage for thet tax rate that was adopted last year, Mr. Zepeda and City Manager Alun confirmed it was about a 1% increase. Lastly, there was a discussion about the Debt Services account and how much of the funds could be used to cover the cost to purchase some of the requested Administer the Statements of Officer and Oaths of Office; present Certificates of Election; hear remarks Administering the Statements of Officer and Oaths of Office was not performed and will be administered during the Motion by Councilmember Jannett to adjourn.
