Chief Rodriguez replies with yes, they will all be the same and uniform. F. Approval of Resolution No. 2023-01-24-003, Al RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF KEMPNER, Discussion: Chief Rodriguez explained we currently have 31 functioning body cameras, but WatchGuard will no longer be servicing those. Chief Rodriguez found body cameras that will be operated on through Axon. With those updated body cameras, it Council members asked questions regarding the value oft the grant, where ini the budget this will come from, the life expectancy on them, the compatibility with the in- Chief Rodriguez answered the value of the grant is 14,000 and that comes with the software to store digital evidence. The funds will be in next year's budget sO we will budget for these expenses in the next budget season. Chief also tells the council that the new body cameras are not compatible with the current in-car systems and that those will be changed out as well, and he is working on a grant for those systems.
