Jonathan Sowell - Update on Police Department Activity Chief Sowell gave the update on the police department's: activity for the month of December, 2023. Activity included: 22 reports filed, 5: felony arrests, 10 misdemeanor arrests, 2 occasions of assisting other agencies, 274 calls for service answered, 2 auto accident reports filed, 18 citations written, and 157 warnings issued. Chief Sowell also mentioned he had completed the 2023 Racial Profiling report and submitted it to the state. It will be on next month's agenda once approved. 290 8. Judge Jeff Cox-1 Update on Municipal Court Activity Judge Cox had not arrived to the meeting at this time sO Mayor Hughes read his report on the Municipal Court Activity for month ofl December, 2023. There were 17 citations received, with fines and court costs collected totaling $1726.00. Remitted to state = $970.00, City retention - $756.00. Liz. Jones -1 Update on Main Street Program 9. Liz. Jones was unable to attend the meeting, sO City Manager Jeaneyse Mosby read her Mrs. Mosby reported that the Quarter 4 Reports have been submitted to Texas Main Street, and Mrs. Jones is now working on finishing the Annual Reports for Main Street There will be a Visitor Experience Workshop led by the Texas Historical Commission staff to help prepare us and the region for the Smithsonian: Museum on Main Street. It will be held on Tuesday, February 27th, at the Log Cabin from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Wednesday, February 28th, exploring downtown and exhibit venues. Update from City Manager Jeaneyse Mosby City Manager Jeaneyse Mosby reported that the city had suffered no outages despite the winter storms. There are two water leaks that have been discovered and are tol be fixed as soon as the weather permits. Precautions have been taken to ensure the leaks do not cause The City received a letter from the County requesting to put the new building being built, as well as the existing building, on Co-op electricity. A request has been submitted to the PUC to get a copy ofthe order where the City was granted its CCN: number to determine the exact footage that buildings must fall within to move off the City's electric services. Assuming the buildings fall within the footage given in the order, this will be allowed. The electrical rate study should be completed by March 14th.IfMrs. Mosby is able to review the study in time, it will bej placed on the agenda for March's Council Meeting, any traffic issues. otherwise it will be on April's agenda. A monthly Kevenue/Expenditure Report was provided and explained.
