Present: Alderman Jessica Sewell, Jennifer Manuel, Dianne Griffith, Nichole Gatewood, Kyle Currie and Mayor. John Benestante Visitors: Luke Sweeney 3. Public Comment: Alderman Dianne Griffith asked for everyone to attend the upcoming San Jacinto County Preparedness Expo schedulèd for June 22, 20241 from 10 ami to 2 pm at the 4. Agenda: Mayor Benestante presented the agenda fort the meeting. Alderman Kyle Currie made a motioni to adopt the agenda, Alderman Jennifer Manuel seconded the motion. Allin 5. Minutes: Mayor Benestante presented the minutes from the regular called April 1, 2024, meeting. Operation ofTreatment Plant and Collections System - Josh Taylor, the city's sewer operator, presented the report on the Operation of the Treatment Plant and Collections Systems. There were no excursions incurred for the month of April. The plant operated at 31 percent of capacity for the month of April and flowed an average of .063 MGD. Fixed Assets Information- B. Financial Reports - Mayor John Benestante briefed Council with the current financial profit and loss statements for the General account, Sewer & Maintenance, Hotel/Motel, Capital Projects, Opioid Abatement Fund, Legislative Updates, and Investment Report. Mayor Benestante asked for any comments or questions regarding the profit and loss statements. C. GRANT/FUND Report: Mayor John Benestante briefed Council with the current Grant/Fund reports for the ARPA (American Rescue Plan ACt-COVID-TDEM), CDBG- MITMOD GL0-$631,000-Sewer Expansion), Texas CDBG (TDA $500,000-Sewer), RCP-IGL0-5300,000 Flood Mitgation/Mapping Studies), Transportation Alternatives Set Aside (XDOTS3,000,000,000-Sidewalks). D. City Attorney Report- City attorney Greg Magee was not present. . Briefing on sewer adjustments & sewer cut offs - City Executive. Administrator, Jody Barr briefed Council on the: sewer adjustments made to customer accounts in the month of April. Jody also briefed Council that there was one customer account that was locked int the month of April. 8. OLD BUSINESS: A. Second Reading of Sewer Ordinance 2024-02 regarding multiple taps, commercial meters- Mayor John Benestante reread the Sewer Ordinance 2024-021 that was B. Briefing on Mayor's discussion with Coldspring Community Center- Mayor John Benestante briefed the council on his discussion with Coldspring Community Center. City Attorney Greg Magee is working on the deed information. C. Discussion and possible action regarding adoptingi interlocal agreement in regard to permits issued in the City of Coldspring byt the San. Jacinto County Permit Office, i.e.- Mayor Benestante briefly discussed adoptingi interlocal agreement in regard to permits issued int the City of Coldspring by the San. Jacinto County Permit Office.
