BEDC Regular Meeting minutes: Board Member Philip Thurman moved to approve the consent agenda as presented. Council Member Katy Randall seconded. The motion carried Discuss and consider action: Related to the potential sale of all or portions of the Crossings at 281 South Commercial Park: Board Member David Vaughn updated all present that the hotel plans to begin on or around Discuss and consider action: Related to the sale of all or portions of the Eastside Commercial Park located on Highway 29 East: Board Member David Vaughn informed all present that construction crews have begun to Discuss and consider action: Related to the potential sale of all or portions of 118 E. Polk Street (Old Bealls Building) and 102 E. Polk Street (Kroeger Strip Center): The board discussed the demolition bid received from Maynard Construction Services. To demo both buildings, the total would be $85,560.00. Board Member Mary Jane Shanes made a motion to approve the demolition and demolition costs. Plans have been made but there are still many variables to address. Board Member David Vaughn stated that TX DOT will not install a light until they have implemented a study at the Discuss and consider action: Related to the Jackson Street Public Restroom Project: The bathrooms were completed in time for the Bluebonnet Festival. There are some minor adjustments that need to be made. Nailhead Spur is going to provide a quote for a' Texas cutout with a 3D bluebonnet for the restrooms. No action taken.
