Call to Order and Declaration of Ouorum- Time: 7:01 PM 2. Invocation- Mayor Ponce and Council Member Deering were absent. Mr. Bruce Mathews led the invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance to the United States of America = Ipledge. Allegiance to thej flag, of the United States of America, and to the Republic. for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice, for all. City Secretary Report- MyGov - Had our kickoff meeting on April 29th and we have been working with MyGov to provide them with all the required information for them to build the templates for the permitting, Revize - Final training with Revize is scheduled for May 28th. After the training is complete the School openings - CISD has invited the staff & council to attend ribbon cutting for two oftheir online forms, code enforcement, etc. website will be turned over to the City for final changes before it goes live. new campuses: Ellis Elementary - July 18th at 6PM Community Trails Middle School - July 22nd at 6PM. Xtreme Green Event - Our Xtreme Green Event with CWD is scheduled for June 18, from 8AM -12PM. This event has been advertised on our Facebook page, website, and with flyers. Ifany oft the Council members can volunteer their time to help verify addresses, please let me know as soon as possible. b. City Attorney Report- N/A Code Enforcement Report- Dennis Wagner. d. P&ZI Report- N/A EDC Report- N/A The council reviewed an updated Code Enforcement report from Code Enforcement Officer, Financial Report (2nd Council Meeting)- The Council reviewed the monthly Financial Report. Council Member Longoria requested that City Secretary Kowaleski verify the current electricity rate. Mayor Pro Tem Report- because ofthe roll back election. h. Mayor's Report/Status- Council Member Longoria provided an update on the status of the tax refunds from the County N/A N/A NVFD Report (2d Council Meeting)- 2 CONSENT AGENDA 6. Approval of] Previous Meeting Minutes - May 7,2024- seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Council Member Laye made a motion to approve the minutes as written. Discuss and take any appropriate action on the variance request submitted to the City ofNevada - Council Member Laughter made a motion to table this agenda item until further information could be provided to the council. Discuss and take any appropriate action on amending Ordinance 18-06(Animal Ordinance)- Council Member Laye made a motion to table this agenda item at the recommendation of City Attorney Shepherd, until the clarification of new laws pertaining to animal ordinances. Discuss and consider action on amending Ordinance No. 0052124-A (Schedule of Fees) - Council Member Longoria made a motion to table this agenda item until the next city council meeting, when a final version of suggested changes can be reviewed for approval.
