City Council Regular Meeting MINUTES May 14, 2024, at 6:00 PM CALLTO ORDER Mayor Byron Sanford called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present: Byron Sanford Carol Langley Casey Olson Sara Countryman Cheryl Fox Stan Donaldson Alan Petrov Mayor City Council Place #1 City Council Place #2 City Council Place #3 City Council Place #4 City Council Place #5 City Administrator City Attorney Also Present: Gary Palmer INVOCATION Mayor Byron Sanford led the invocation. PLEDGE OF ALIEGIANCETOFIAGS OATHS OF OFFICE & PRESENTATION 1. Mayor Byron Sanford will administer the Oath ofOffice to the following duly elected officials from the May 4.2024, General Election. Sara Countryman - Mayor Casey Olson. Council Place 2 Cheryl Fox - Council Place 4 Mayor Byron Sanford provided the oaths of office and swore each council member and Mayor into office. 2. Recognition of outgoing Mayor, Byron Sanford. Mayor, Sara Countryman provided aj presentation to outgoing Mayor Sanford. 3. Consideration and possible action to elect the Mayor Pro Tem for the term of one (1) yearas Councilmember Carol Langley moved to nominate Casey Olson as Mayor Pro Tem. Councilmember provided by Texas Local Government Code 22.037(b). Cheryl Fox seconded the motion. Motion Passed (4-0). VISITOR/CITIVZENS FORUM: There were no members oft the public that addressed the City Council. CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION: 4. Consideration and possible action on approval of construction plans for Hills ofTown Creek Mr. Gary Palmer requested a recess as the City Engineer was not able to be present and Mr. Section Five (Dev. No. 2406). McCorquodale was on his way to City Hall for this item. Mayor Sara Countryman recessed City Council at: 6:09 P.M. Mayor Sara Countryman reconvened City Council at: 6:10 P.M. Mr. Dave McCorquodale stated that the City Engineer has reviewed the plans, and the project meets the city's ordinances and design criteria. The engineers and staff are recommending approval. Councilmember Casey Olson moved to approve the construction plans as presented. Councilmember CarolLangley seconded the motion. Motion Passed -1)Councimember Stan Donaldson recused himself from the vote. COUNCIL INQUIRY: Councilmember Casey Olson asked Mr. Palmer where we were at and had we heard anything on the sign. Mr. Palmer responded that hel had not yet had a chance to look into it. Mayor Countryman stated that the Lone Star Street Dance was another success. ADJOURNMENT Councilmember Carol Langley moved to adjourn the meeting. Councilmember Casey Olson seconded the motion. Motion Passed (4-0). The meeting was adjourned at 6:20 P.M.
