MINUTES WAYCROSS CITY COMMISSION MEETING TUESDAY, APRIL2, 2024-5:00PM WAYCROSS CITY COMMISSION CHAMBERS CALLTOORDER: The Waycross City Commission Meeting was called to order on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 5:00 pm by Mayor James. The meeting was held in the Commission Chambers of City Hall. Present were Commissioners, Katrena Felder, Norman Davis and Mayor Pro Temp, Alvin Nelson and Sheinita Bennett. A. Request Motion to Approve Agenda B. Pledge of Allegiance There was al motion made by Mayor Pro Temp, Alvin Nelson to amend the agenda by adding under Executive Session an. Appointment to the Zoning and Appeals Board. After which it was seconded by Commissioner Bennett. All voted in favor and the motion passed. II. PUBLIC REMARKS ON OFFICIAL ACTIONS III. EXECUTIVE DUTIES: A. Employee of the Month: Marissa Hendricks presented Mr. Josh Waldron oft the WFD, with the employee oft the month. The Mayor presented Satilla Advocacy with a proclamation making the month of April, B. Proclamation Presentation- - Child Abuse Prevention Month National Child Abuse Prevention Month. OFFICIALREPORTS: A. City Manager's Report He reminded the commission about the Spring Clean Up happening in the Month of April throughout the city. Also, there was a survey that went out to the citizens to get input on the homeless population and ideas for an arcade. B. Mayor's Report (To Include Any Public Service Announcements).
