Callt to Order: Mayor Brown called the meeting to order at 6:021 PM. 2. Mayor Statement: Mayor Brittni brown gave herstatement regarding the incidents involving the arrest of 3. Public Comments: Chiquela Pleas asked if the recreation dept has af financial budget and asked for grant reports for thel last two years. Mrs. Pleas also asked why the kids have to payt to attend activities at the youth center. She also Robin Housh askedi if they were going tot fill the vacant seat and wanted to know if they would considerher. Cecilia Livingston spoke ands stated her concerns about the boil water advisory and statedi that she felt they should stated that she feels that the community: are not receiving answers to their questions. have received more alerts on the issue. 8. Councilmember Malone expressed his concernsi in wantingt to knowwhythe Grant expensesy werei intertwined with the rest oft the expenses. Mr. Jones explained that those figures did noti include grant funds. 12. Discuss/Action: Land Use/ Zoning Maps - Mayor Brittni Brown Mayor Brownstatedi that there are instances where our: zoning maps do not coincide with what happens ini those areas, sO she wanted to put this ont the agenda to start the conversation to address some of these concerns. The council discussed the concerns and possible procedures and how ito could affect the community. 13. Discuss: Completion of Grocery Store - Councilmember Carl Livingston. Councilimember Livingston asked Mr. Jones about thet fundingi for the grocery: store and what funds would be endingin August. Mr.. Jonesgave an update on those funds. Discuss: Possible ethicviolations- - Councilmember Calvin Malone. Councimember Malone stated that there are: several ethicv violations and wanted to know how the other councilmembers knew things that he didn't, he also stated that he feels that Mr.. Jones should have been on site for the dock installation. 18. Discuss: Several Ethnic Violations - Councilmember Calvin Malone. Councilmember Malone stated that this item he wanted to correct, and this item should not be on the agenda. 19. Discuss: Town CEO/CFO Contract and Absence = Councilmember Calvin Malone. Councimember Malone stated that! hei is tryingt to understand what Mr.. Jones duties and responsibilities toi the citizens. Jones gave an update as follows Mr.J Jonesstatedthatwe are nearing the completion of the splash padi in Haffaye Hayes park as well as getting a state of the art outside gym fort the park and the installation willl be happening soon. He stated that the youth programshave: startedi in they youtho centeras well. Mayor Brown Gave an update for Mr. Reid and stated that the contract with the Magistrate has been executed andi that process willl ber moving forward. Mayor Brown also stated that Mr. Reid gave an update on the eminent C Councimember Livingston asked if the Recl board operates under The Town of Greenville and stated that he would like moving forward to have at tab on the website that allows the rec! board toy post events that happen. Mayor Brown gave as statement on the youth events taking place ati the community center and! how wellt the kickoff fort that was and hows she would like to see more involvement. Mayor Brown also gave an update on other events that willl be taking place at the community center. Mayor Brown gave an update on the wateri issue and asked public works director' Wayne Malonei to speak ont thei issues and concerns.
