TOWN OF MELBOURNE VILLAGE MINUTES Special Commission Meeting Thursday, April 8, 2021 7:00 PM-Town Office  - Call to Order 7:02pm  II. Pledge of Allegiance Led by Mayor Martin  II. Roll Call Present were Commr's: Anderson, Jones, McCharles, Mayor Martin and Town Clerk/Treasurer Collen. Alsoj present was. Bradley Ward Town Superintendent. Vice Mayor IV. Discussion of Community House Superintendent Ward reported to the commission the Hester Wagner House is in bad need of repair, more: sO then originally thought, due to rotting wood. At the last commission meeting a budget was set for repairs to resume rentals. After Wards investigation with contractors, it was determined the house walls would need to be "braced" and the disability access ramp would need tol be replaced in addition. Motion by Commr. Niemann to) Repair the HWCH with the current bids of contract with caveats: the work be done with Brad and Ryan to help as much as possible. The work will entail the replacement of the two doors, Two ADA Ramps. and wall braces. The cap for repair cost is eighteen thousand dollars. Commr. Anderson 2nd. After discussion, the motion passed unanimously by all IVa. Commissioner Motioned to reopen the community house May 14. A 2021 to give time for construction. Vice Mayor Niemann 2nd. After the discussion, the motion passed unanimously  Nieman, Commr's Calenda, and Murphy arrived after pledge.  commissioners via role call vote.  by all commissioners with no opposition.
