AND IMPOSITION OF FINE UPON FAILURE TO APPEAR [Parlier Municipal Code (PMC)52.04.090; Government Code $36810, - 54955]  NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Parlier Municipal Code (PMC) Section 2.04.090 and Government Code $$36810 and 54955 that less than a majority of the City Council oft the City of Parlier who were present at the Special Meeting duly set for June 24, 2024, have adjourned the Special Meeting and ordered it to be reconvened at  the following place and time: JUNE 25, 2024 -6:30-PM 5:00 pn Parlier City Council Chambers 1100 E. Parlier Ave Parlier, CA  >  NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the two members of the City Council remaining at the time of the adjournment of the Special Meeting of June 24, 2024, have determined that important business remains to be transacted or disposed of and do hereby issue this notice and cause it to be personally served on other members of the City Council absent from the June 24, 2024, meeting directing their attendance at the adjourned Special Meeting on June 25, 2024, at6:30 p.m. The Chief of Police is directed pursuant to PMC Section 2.04.090 and 2.15.040 to cause this order of adjournment and notice to attend adjourned Special Meeting on June 25, 2024, at 3.38 p.m. to be personally served upon each and every member of the City Council who was absent from the Special Meeting duly set for June 24, 2024. Each such member is directed to appeas at the adjourned Special Meeting at 1100 E., Parlier. Avenue on June Parlier Municipal Code $2.04.090 provides that a member oft the City Council personally served with this notice "shall" be required to attend the adjourned Special Meeting except in case of sickness or death in their immediate family. The City Council member(s) served with this notice to attend the adjourned Special Meeting of. June 25, 2024, shall be liable to a fine, penalty or forfeiture to the City in the sum of $25 in the event of a failure to appear at the June 25, 2024, adjourned Special Meeting. Further, failure to appear at the adjourned Special Meeting is a failure to comply with a provision oft the Parlier Municipal Code for which such member shall be guilty of an infraction" punishable by a fine of up to $200, all pursuant to the provisions of PMC Section  25, 2024, at-6:30 p.m.  1.16.010.    ACouncil member who has been personally served with this Order and Notice to attend the adjourned Special Meeting on June 25, 2024, who fails to attend that meeting  may be cited and fined up to $225.
