INGLIS RECREATION COMMITTEE MINUTES Regular Meeting April 17,2023 MISSION STATEMENT: The Inglis Recreation Committee mission is to promote recreation and education of the children, seniors and families in our community. The meeting was called to order at 6:04 pm. Pledge Roll Call: Raejean LaFlower, Chairman Carlos Robledo Ruth Ruppert Tamara Slagle Lisa Levesque Chairman's Report: Spring Fling Treasurer's Report: Same as last reported Terri Norton, Secretary/Treasurer: Lynne Tate Helen Ciallella Scott Levesque Lanae Foster Secretary's Report: Minutes of both March 20 and April 10 were submitted. Lynne Tate made a motion to accept the minutes as: stated. Helen Ciallella 2nd. - Motion Carried. Continue to review the events that will take place during the Spring Fling. Joyce Schwing is setting up a plant swap, next to the planter on the left of the main door to the Carlos Robledo will bring the Dunk Tank and the Food Truck. Carlos doesn't care ifa another person is Isaaac' Young is supposed to bring 2 cornhole boards. Miss Mary will have the Frisbee toss. Ruth Ruppert will have music starting at 9 am and then. Joanne will take over from 12-3 pm. Fire Chief Stedman will take care of the blocking off of the driveway and anything else that is needed. Community Center. She is also bringing a slip and slide. selling food. Tiffany Smolinka is the new sandwich shop to open in town. Helen Ciallella stated the FFA will bei there to help with traffic and parking. The Coast Guard will be unable to help this time due to accidents of their personnel and need to cover responsibilities. Stuff the Bus andi the balance oft the tabled items will be postponed to the next meeting. Memorial Day was brought up and Lanae Foster said the AmVets had events at their post and should just keep it to one location.
