RESOLUTION OF THE BRUNDIDGE CITY COUNCIL NO. 2023-11  WHEREAS, Isabell Boyd, Michael Walters, and Rod Morgan, as adult residents and qualified electors of Coffee County, Alabama and the City of] Brundidge, Alabama have filed with the City Council oft the City ofBrundidge ("City Council") an application (the "Application") in writing for authorization to incorporate a solid waste disposal authority to be called Coffee County - City of Brundidge Solid Waste Disposal Authority pursuant to the provisions of $11-89A-1, et seq., Code of Alabama 1975, as amended, such Application being attached hereto as Exhibit A  and incorporated by reference herein.  WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and considered the Application and the  purposes for which such authorities are formed.  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council as follows:  1.  The City Council hereby adopts and incorporates by reference the legislative  findings set forth in $11-89A-1,et: seq., Code ofAlabama 1975, as amended, and further finds that  itis wise, expedient and necessary that the proposed authority be formed; and  2. The City Council hereby adopts this resolution approving the above referenced Application and the form of Certificate of Incorporation as submitted therewith and hereby authorizes the applicants to proceed to form the proposed authority by filing for record such Certificate of Incorporation in accordance with the provisions of $11-89A-1, et seq., Code of  Alabama 1975, as amended, et seq., Code of Alabama 1975, as amended; and  3.  The City Council hereby appoints Isabell Boyd for a four year term, and Willie  Wright fora a six year term, both commencing on the date ofincorporation ofthe authority, to serve as two oft the five initial members of the Board of Directors oft the authority; and spread upon or otherwise made a part of the minutes oft this meeting.
