Johnson  Commissioner Derek Farr A SE Commissidner Larry Roberts  21    RESOLUTION NO. 2024-06A DECLARING THE MONTH OF JUNE 2024 busted AS CANCER SURVIVOR MONTH  DOLPH  1832  WHEREAS, a cancer survivor is defined as anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer and is WHEREAS, according to data from the Alabama Department of Public Health, cancer is the WHEREAS, breast cancer and colorectal cancer are the two most common types of cancer in WHEREAS, cancer survivors are an inspiration and encouragers to cancer] patients, their families, WHEREAS, cancer survivors are encouraged to support one another through networks ofc cancer WHEREAS, Randolph County residents are encouraged to take part in regular health check-ups because early detection ist the number one tool in fighting cancer and surviving; and, WHEREAS, Randolph County strives to ensure increasing access to quality healthçare and NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Randolph County Commission hereby proclaims June 2024, as "CANCER SURVIVORS MONTH" in Randolph County, and  still living; and,  second-leading cause of death in the state; and,  Alabama; and,  and those surrounding them throughout the State of Alabama; and, survivorship during all stages of care and remission; and,  prevention strategies.  commends its observance to all citizens.
