CITY OF SANCTUARY P.O.1 BOX 125, Azle Texas 76098 817-221-6016 MINUTES FOR THE SCHEDULED CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON APRIL 2, 2024, 6:30 pm, AT SANCTUARY CITY HALL, 1920 BERKELEY DRIVE, AZLE TEXAS, 76020 I. Call to Order: Mayor Sommers called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM. II. Roll Call: The Mayor and all Aldermen were present. II. Pledge of Allegiance IV. Approval ofLast Meeting's Minutes: Motion to accept as written, correcting the street in Public Discussion from Live Oak to Ash Creek Dr W, was made by Alderman Scallan, Motion seconded by Alderwoman Cozad; Motion carried. V. Public Discussion: None VI. Regular Items: Discussion and/or Vote A. Update on Autobooks online payments. Mayor Sommers reported that at this time, the only way to set up Autobooks with the National Bank ofTexas is ifan officer from Council puts their personal name and Social Security number on the account. They will not accept the EIN number for the City of Sanctuary alone. It was decided we would not register for this service at this time. B. Animal control. The Mayor attended Springtown's City Council Meeting and reported back that the City Manager, David Miller, is open to discussions on providing animal control for the City of Sanctuary. Mr. Miller will be getting back in touch with Mayor Sommers to set up a meeting for further discussion. Mayor Sommers indicated that he would like a volunteer from City Council to go with him once this meeting is scheduled. C. Appointment of Fire Marshall. Per the existing Ordinance 101, Fire ChiefMoses Druxman has been appointed as the Fire Marshall. D. Requirement to Update 101. Mayor Sommers will be working on updating Ordinance 101 to a Type A City format and will present it to Council once iti is completed. E. Status ofOrdinance 106 to amend Ordinance 103. Mayor Sommers is still working on this. Will need to correct Exhibit A and to also reference that the Fee Schedule will be in the office should someone need it. F. Proposed Fee Schedeule for Briar-Reno Fire Department Services. The 2021 Fire Code is where the inspections are outlined. Mayor Sommers is still working with Fire ChiefMoses to determine which fees will actually apply to the City of Sanctuary's needs and will Council Concerns: Mayor Sommers had concerns regarding a pipe coming out ofar residential property whereby grey water was report back his findings once it is completed. Alderwoman Fohl checked City Secretary Report: City Sales Tax collected for the month of Jan 2024 was $2,479.11, for Feb 2024 it was $3,879.22 and for March 2024 it was $2,036.98. The P&L for Jan and Feb 2024 was presented; oni ita and resetit. VIII. there were no questions. IX. X.
