City of Newark July 12, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.  Budget Workshop and Special Called Meeting Agenda  1.  Call to order and announce quorum is present.  Mayor Cardwell called the meeting to order at 6:04 pm, and announced a quorum was present. Those in attendance were: Mayor Crystal Cardwell, Mayor Pro Tem Christopher Raines, Councilmember Taylor Burton, Councilmember Melanie Payne, City Admin Staff Brittany Mayhue,  Public Works Director William Allen, and City Secretary. Jenni Moore.  2. 3.  Pledge of allegiance and invocation.  Mayor Cardwell led the pledge to the flag; Councilmember Burton delivered the invocation. Budget Workshop - discussion on alli funds for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Annual Budget. The Budget Workshop began with a presentation from Jake Pavelka and Ryan Isbell with Rhino removal, a waste and recycling company. They will be submitting a proposal for services. Mayor Cardwell asked Council if there were any questions regarding the budget.
