Edit and approve minutes from the 4/10/17 regular council meeting: Upon motion made by Ms. Jackson, seconded by Mr. Boyd, the minutes from the 4/10/17regular council meeting were unanimously approved. Town Manager's Report: Mr. Duty presented the Town Manager's report for the month of April and reported that modifications to the Gilbert Sewage Pump Station were completed on May 2, 2017. IX. New Business: A. Guitars & Good Times Event: Mayor Dodi informed the Council that the Russell County Medical Center Foundation would be hosting the 2017 Guitars & Good Times fundraising event on. June 2, 2017 with proceeds to be used toward the purchase of new playground equipment for Lebanon Elementary Upon motion made by Ms. Jackson, seconded by Mr. Boyd, the Council unanimously voted to sponsor the 2017 Guitars & Good Times event in the amount of$500.00. The vote wasas follows: Mr. Boyd, Aye; Mr. Kegley, Aye; Ms. Jackson, Aye; Mr. Fields, Aye; Mr. Upon motion made by Mr. Boyd, seconded by Mr. Kegley, the Council unanimously voted to announce in The Lebanon News that the Town ofLebanon's water system had been awarded the the 2016 Excellence in Waterworks Operations Gold. Upon motion made by Mr. Boyd, seconded by Mr. Fields, Mr. Duty was unanimously authorized to hire a pool director, lifeguards and summer employees for the 2017 summer season. Upon motion made by Mr. Boyd, seconded by Mr. Kegley, the Town Council unanimously voted to go into closed session under Code Section 2.2-3711(A)(1) and (7) for the purpose of discussing personnel and legal issues. Upon motion made by Mr. Boyd, seconded by Mr. Ferguson, the Town Council unanimously voted to return to regular session.
