Mitchell, ChiefofPolice Staff Members Present: StaffMembers Absent: I. II. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Dodi. Enter closed session: 6:021 P.M. A. Upon motion made by Mr. Boyd, seconded by Mr. Fields, the Town Council unanimously voted to go into closed session under Code Section 2.2-3711 (1) for the purpose of discussing personnel issues. The vote was as follows: Mr. Boyd, Aye; Mr. Kegley, Aye; Ms. Jackson, B. Upon motion made by Mr. Boyd, seconded by Mr. Kegley, the Town Council unanimously voted to return to regular session. Jackson, Aye; Mr. Fields, Aye; Mr. Ferguson, Aye; Mr. Gilmer, Aye. .Diane Nunley, Administrative Assistant, presented the Roll Call Vote: Aye; Mr. Fields, Aye; Mr. Ferguson, Aye; Mr. Gilmer, Aye. Virginia Code, 1950, Section 2.2-3712(D) Do you certify that toi the best of your knowledge, (1) the Town Council in its' closed session; only discussed public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements under this Chapter and (2) that only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the closed meeting was convened were heard, discussed, or considered in the meeting by the Town Council. III. IV. Adjourn closed session: 6:561 P.M. Mr. Duty informed the Council that a Town ofLebanon employee, Chase Campbell, was working on the: sanitation truck when a resident ran outside their home with a choking child requesting for someone to call 911. Mr. Duty informed the Council that the child did not appear tol be breathing. He further informed the Council that Mr. Campbell took quick action and immediately began first aid procedures until the child was able to breathe on its own. Upon motion made by Mr. Boyd, seconded by Mr. Fields, the Council unanimously voted to recognize Mr. Chase Campbell for his physical and moral courage at the March 13,2017 regular council meeting and toj provide him a day off with full pay.
