Ruth Whitt Ms. Whitt expressed her gratitude to the mayor and council for the remarkable difference they are making within the Town ofLebanon. Mayor Dodi recognized Ms. Whitt for being a dedicated member of our community who has used her talents and journalism toj preserve the history of our community. Ms. Whitt has published many great articles for the 2019 Bicentennial Year. B. LHS Drama Team Mayor Dodi recognized the Lebanon High students that participated in the "Carry Me Back" Bicentennial play. The names are as follows: Sarah Stoots as director, Andy Bell, Shannon Boothe, Jacob Cordle, Mackenzie Dale, Audrey Dillon, Kieran Heintzelman, Abigail Jessee, Brianna Johnson, Elijah Joyce, Nick Kiser, Jada O'Quinn, Bailey Lowe, Riley Lowe, Raegan Middlebrook, Haley Mullins, Aaron Nelson, Todd Osborne, Jared Presley, Amanda Snead, Maliah Tilley, Mariah Tuggle, Will Whited, Laken Woods, Leann May, Ellen Sautters, Mason Stoots, Tyler Young, Abby Amos, Shyann Johnson, Jake Dishman, and AK Smith as cast members. VII. Public Request: Peggy Hurley presented a slide show presentation concerning the 2020 Census. She stressed the importance for an accurate count because this number determines the number ofseats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives to plan for roads, schools and hospitals. Ms. Hurley encouraged the Mayor and Town Council to create a committee to create awareness to local citizens. VIII. Town Managers Report therefore ai new: server is ordered. Mr. Mitchell advised that the computers was hit by a ransomware virus, the server is corrupted Mr. Mitchell advised he and several staff members meet with Southern Software to change from the current Accu Fund system. Mayor Dodi requested Mr. Mitchell present more information concerning Southern Software at the scheduled Budget meeting on June 14, at 5:00P.M. Mr. Mitchell requested to speak with the council in closed session regarding acquisition or sale of Mr. Mitchell advised that the Splash Pad was hit by lighting, waiting for a part to come in. Mr. Mitchell advised the need for the town to consider the purchase ofa 4-wheeler side-by-sideto use for all the bicentennial events. IX. Approve accounts payable and capital assets for the month ofl May Upon motion made by Mr. Gilmer, seconded by Mr. Kegley, the accounts payable for the month ofM May was unanimously approved. Town ofLebanon Management Policies Upon motion made by Mr. Fields, seconded by Mr. Kegley, the Town Council unanimously voted to approve the Town ofL Lebanon Management Policies. The vote was as follows: Mr. Kegley, Aye; Ms. Jackson, Aye; Mr. Fields, Aye; Mr. Gilmer, Aye; Mr. Ferguson, Aye; Ms. Stanley, Aye. Downtown Historical Lighting Proposal B. Appalachian Power Company-bid amount $366,457.00. Upon motion made by Mr. Gilmer, seconded by Ms. Jackson, the Town Council unanimously voted to accept the bid proposal for the downtown historical lighting by Appalachian Power Company. The vote is as follows: Mr. Kegley, Aye; Ms. Jackson, Aye; Mr. Fields, Aye; Mr. Gilmer, Aye; Mr. Ferguson, Aye; Ms. Stanley, Aye. XI. Upon motion made by Mr. Fields, seconded by Mr. Gilmer, the Town Council unanimously voted to hire J.L Kegley as Accounting Assistant at the discussed salary.
