Upon motion made by Ms. Stanley, seconded by Mr. Leonard, the Town Council unanimously voted to go into closed session under Code Section 2.2-3711(A)(I) for the purpose of personnel toi interview for Town Manager position. The vote was as follows: Ms. Jackson, Aye; Mr. Fields, Aye; Mr. Gilmer, Aye; Ms. Stanley, Aye; Mr. Leonard, Upon motion made by Mr. Lambert, seconded by Mr. Fields, the Town Council unanimously voted to return to regular session. Upon motion made by Mr. Lambert, seconded by Mr. Leonard, the Town Council unanimously voted tol hire Drew Short as the Lebanon Town Manager with a salary ofs $75,000 effective The roll call vote was as follows: Ms. Jackson, Aye; Mr. Fields, Aye; Mr. Gilmer, Aye; Ms. Mr. Gilmer and Mr. Fields advised that they ranked Chris Pritt as their first choice and Drew Upon motion made by Mr. Gilmer, seconded by Mr. Fields, the Town Council unanimously voted for Mayor Dodi to continue to work in the Town Manager position during the transition period for Mr. Shortt up until the November monthly Town Council meeting if necessary. Shortt as their second choice for the Lebanon Town Manager position. VII. Mr. Leonard, Aye; Mr. Lambert, Aye. Items for Discussion VFSB Fire Department update VIII. Mayor Dodi advised that the VFSB board was meeting today to review the Town of Lebanon's request for Comprehensive Analysis Study for the Lebanon Fire Department. Mayor Dodi advised the Town Council that as soon as he received an update from the VFSB he would notify each oft the Town Council. Hungate CopierLease Agreement Mayor Dodi advised the Town Council that the lease agreement with Hungate Business Services isu up for renewal October 4, 2021. Hungate provided different quotes options for the Town Council to review. Based upon. Mr. Leonard's recommendation for Ms. Nunley to reached out to another business On Queue, LLC. located in Johnson City, Tennessee for a printer quote. Ms. Nunley advised that the On Queue quote was lower, but she wasn'tsure what kind of service they would provide. Mr. Leonard stated that he would like to speak with Hungate Business Services to discuss the contract. The Town Council agreed for Mayor Dodi, Mr. Leonard and Ms. Nunley to speak with Hungate Business Services to discuss the contract and make necessary Mayor Dodi requested the Town Council's pleasure regarding meeting at 5:001 P.M. for the Town Council Meeting to have closed session. The Town Council agreed to have closed session at decisions based upon their discussion. 5:00 P.M. prior to the Council Meeting. Mr. Fields advised that it is time to start planning for the Community Thanksgiving Dinner. Mayor Dodi stated he would speak with Joey Long and Dr. Brown concerning use of the Lebanon High School cafeteria. He stated that based upon their recommendation to either move Mr. Gilmer advised that he would like for the' Town to make a donation to the Lebanon Youth Basketball. Mr. Lambert stated that in 2019 about 300 kids signed up to play basketball. Mr. Lambert advised that hel had spoken with Mr. Farmer at the Community Center to plan for practice two nights a week and schedule games for Saturday. Mr. Lambert stated that $400 Upon motion made by Mr. Gilmer, seconded by Mr. Leonard, the Town Council unanimously voted to waive the Lebanon Community Center Facility fee for use of facility from October 2021 to. January 2022 and make a donation to reimburse up to $400 to Lebanon Youth Basketball for uniforms. The vote was as follows: Ms. Jackson, Aye; Mr. Fields, Aye; Mr. Gilmer, Aye; Ms. Upon motion made by Mr. Leonard, seconded by Mr. Fields, the' Town Council unanimously voted to donate $250 to Fallen Warriors, Inc. The vote was as follows: Ms. Jackson, Aye; Mr. Fields, Aye; Mr. Gilmer, Aye; Ms. Stanley, Aye; Mr. Leonard, Aye; Mr. Lambert, Aye. Mayor Dodi advised that the Town's ARPA meeting is scheduled the same day as the County's ARPA meeting. The Town Council discussed the request from the Rescue Squad for the County and the Town to donate $15,0000 each from ARPA funds to help provide an additional vehicle Upon motion made by Mr. Fields, seconded by Ms. Stanley, the Town Council unanimously voted to adjust the part time salary as described in closed session.
