Lebanon Town Council Reconvened Meeting Town Hall, Lebanon, Virginia Thursday, March 11,2021 5:001 P.M. Council Members Present: Nelson A. "Tony" Dodi, Mayor DeAnna C. Jackson, Vice- Mayor A. Prayer: Mr. Blankenship Pledge of Allegiance Items for Discussion Parks & Recreation Ms. Jackson advised that she had spoken with Mr. Farmer concerning the $50 fee to use ballfield for a day. She stated that she felt this fee needed to bei increased. Mr. Lambert the that he felt a reasonable amount for this area would be $100 a day. Mr. Gilmer stated that stated he felt good charging a fee rate of$125: for future bookings but honor the $50 fee amount for that already had the field scheduled. The council discussed ways to resolve the issue with anyone citizens being turned away when tournaments was being played at the ballfield. Mr. Leonard stated the importance tol keep the field booked. V. Other Business Mr. Leonard discussed the VDOT Urban Maintenance funds. He stressed the importance utilize these funds as much as possible to save on using the General Account funds. Mayor Dodi presented a suggestion for the Tobacco Policy. He advised to add to the to Employee Manuel under Tobacco use the following: No smoking in Town owned vehicles. Nos smoking in Town owned equipment. Designated tobacco use areas at all structures and facilities oft the Town ofLebanon. Temporary tobacco use areas in the field designated by the Department's Smokeless tobacco Ambeer to be contained in a container with lid and: removed Director/Supervisors. from vehicles at the end of the each working shift. The Town Council agreed with these additions to the present Tobacco policy. VI. Enter closed session: 5:58 P.M. A.
