Mr. Lindamood advised that Ms. Cox on the opening of. New Business The Lane Group-Discuss: Loan Process Mr. Shortt advised that Chris Mullins and Kevin Heath with the Lane Group were discuss the DEQ funding offer for the Wastewater Plant PER. Mr. Kevin Heath advised present that to 2021, the Lane Group provided an evaluation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant then list ofneeds. InJuly of 2021 the Town applied for funding with an estimate total amount identified a project at $6.7 million. In 2022 DEQ made an offer to the Town in the amount of with a 0.5 % loan amount for a 20-year term and aj principal forgiveness amount of $6.7 million Mr. Heath stated that Mr. Shortt and Mr. Dye prioritized the Wastewater Treatment $671,500.00. Upon motion made by Mr. Gilmer, seconded by Mr. Lambert, the Town Council voted to accept the DEQ funding offer for the reduced scope of work for the Wastewater unanimously PER: in the amount of$3 million. Town Managers Report Mr. Shortt stated that he renegotiated with Bizzack Construction concerning for the amount of $128.25 per ton to W-L Construction bid for the amount of their $128.48 bid for paving Upon motion made by Mr. Gilmer, seconded by Mr. Lambert, the Town Council voted to award the asphalt paving bid 3-year contract to Bizzack Construction for unanimously the $128.25 per ton. ChiefofPolice Report ChiefDeskins thanked the Town Council for the Christmas Dinner and bonus. He stated Shop with a Cop is this Saturday along with Russell County and Town of Honaker.
