Service and Administration Fee Collected by Caroline County Treasurers Office That the rate of service and administrative fees on semi-annual billings assessed by the .55% service fee with a 10% administrative fee for 2020-2021. The fee and charge Caroline County Tax Office shall be and hereby is established as: amount to .55%. Rate ofTaxation on Railroad and Utility Property That the rate oft taxation for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2020 and including June 30, 2021 on any railroad and utility property to be taxed by the Town of Federalsburg, Maryland, shall be and hereby is established as: Onel Dollar and Sixty-five cents ($1.65) On each one hundred dollars ($100.00) of assessed valuation, unless otherwise provided for by Md. Waste Collection Fee That the rate of waste collection and disposal fee within the boundaries of the Town of Thirty-Nine Dollars and Fifty-Five Cents ($39.55) per quarter - Garbage Fee Federalsburg, Maryland shall not change and hereby is established as: Six Dollars ($6.00) per item - Extra Waste Collection Fee Section 7. For the tax year beginning July 1, 2020, the estimated real property assessable base will increase by 2.1% from $147,380,679 to $150,503,137. 2. IfFederalsburg maintains the current tax rate of $0.880 per $100 ofassessment, real property tax revenues will increase by 2.1% resulting in $27,478 of new real property tax revenues. 3. In order to fully offset the effect ofincreasing assessments, the real property tax rate should be reduced to $0.8617, the constant yield tax rate. 4. The Town is considering not reducing its real property tax rate enough to fully offset increasing assessments. The Town proposes to adopt ar real property tax rate of $0.880 per $100 of assessment. This tax rate is 2.1% higher than the constant yield tax rate and will generate $27,478 in additional real property tax revenues. A public hearing on the proposed real property tax rate increase will be held at 6:00 P.M., on Monday, June 15, 2020 at the Federalsburg Town Office.
