Jorgensen, Vote Review Panel Call Meeting to Order I. Chairman Luth called the meeting to order at 9 a.m. Vice Chairman Natt with a second from Secretary Radzikinas made a motion to recess the meeting until Member Tucker returned to the meeting room. Motion Chairman Luth called the meeting back to order at 9:04 a.m. after Member carried 4-0 with Member Tucker absent. Tucker arrived. Pledge of Allegiance Adoption of Agenda II. III. Vice Chairman Natt with a second from Secretary Radzikinas made a motion to adopt the agenda as prepared by staff. Motion carried unanimously. IV. Absentee Ballot Report Director Smith reported four absentee ballots met the cure deadline and will be tabulated today. She also stated 11 absentee ballots received on Election Day but needed management review for various issues will be tabulated today. Director Smith said there were two absentee ballots that were sent to the Secretary of State's office because of a missing return address mailing label on the envelope. She stated the Secretary of State's office sent the ballots overnight to our office which were received on December 8. Director Smith said the postmark on the absentee ballot envelopes was December 3 but the Secretary of State's Office did not stamp the ballots when they received them. Vice Chairman Natt asked to review the tracking information. Member Tucker with a second from Vice Chairman Natt made a motion to accept the two absentee ballots. Motion carried unanimously. Director Smith then reported the rejected ballots statistics: 80 absentee ballots were received past the deadline - after 7 p.m. on 27 Absentee Ballots with missing/ncorrect information on the oath 3A Absentee Ballots issued as provisional ballots with no cure ever 1UOCAVA Ballot with no oath of elector returned with the voted ballot 1UOCAVA ballot with no identifying marker to identify who the ballot belongs to. Three voters who had not returned their absentee ballot from this precinct/combo were emailed to attempt to identify the owner of this December 6 through Friday, December 9. envelope; no cure was received received by the voter ballot. No response was received. A. UOCAVA Ballot Report Director Smith reported 11 UOCAVA ballots were received by the deadline Vice Chairman Natt with a second from Secretary Radzikinas made a motion for staff to tabulate the UOCAVA ballots. Motion carried and will be tabulated today. unanimously. V. Review of Provisional Ballot(s) Director Smith presented challenged provisional ballot #1. This voter was pending citizenship and did provide the required documents to the office by the Member Tucker with a second from Secretary Radzikinas made a motion to deadline. accept provisional ballot #1. Motion carried unanimously. Director Smith then presented out of precinct provisional ballots #2-57. All the voters on the list are registered in Forsyth County but went to a different Vice Chairman Natt with a second from Member Tucker made a motion to accept provisional ballots #2-57. Motion carried unanimously. Director Smith reported provisional ballots #58-66 were out of precinct but were registered at one address in Forsyth County but provided a different Forsyth Vice Chairman Natt with a second from Member Tucker made a motion to accept provisional ballots #58-66. Motion carried unanimously. Director Smith asked the board what precinct to give the credit for voting. Vice Chairman Natt stated the precinct in which they are currently registered. Director Smith then stated for provisional ballots #67-68 the voters did not provide photo identification at the time of voting and did not provide the photo IDto our office by the deadline. She said staff recommends rejection of the Vice Chairman Natt with a second from Member Tucker made a motion to accept staff recommendations and reject provisional ballots #67-68. Motion Director Smith reported the voters for provisional ballots #69-71 did not have a photo ID when voting but did provide a photo ID to the office by the deadline. Member Tucker with a second from Assistant Secretary Thalimer made a motion to accept provisional ballots #69-71. Motion carried unanimously. Director Smith said the voter for provisional ballot #72 should be registered in Forsyth County but a clerical error was made on the street name and the voter Member Tucker with a second from Assistant Secretary Thalimer made a motion to accept provisional ballots #72. Motion carried unanimously. Member Tucker asked Director Smith to see statistics regarding the number of ballots received in the mail after the deadline in the General Election Runoff Assistant Secretary Thalimer with a second from Member Tucker made a motion to recess at 9:21 for the processing of absentee, provisional and precinct to vote after 5 p.m. and were in line by 7 p.m. County address on their paperwork. ballots. carried unanimously. was taken in error by another county. compared to the November General Election. Certification of Election Results Chairman Luth called the meeting back to order at 10:35 a.m. Chairman Luth provided a review of the Official and Complete Election Summary. Vice Chairman Natt with a second from Member Tucker made a motion to accept the Certification Report and to transmit the report to the Secretary of State's Office. Motion carried unanimously. VII. Adjourn Vice Chairman Natt with a second from Secretary Radzikinas made a motion to adjourn upon completion of the paperwork and signatures at 10:38 a.m. Motion carried unanimously.
